Ms. Poole has served as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and in management at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital Trauma/Burn Unit. She has also served as a staff nurse, and relief charge nurse at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton (Birmingham, Alabama) in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Medical Intensive Care Unit. Additionally, she has been full-time with the UAB School of Nursing Undergraduate Program since 1993 primarily as a nurse educator.
MSN training focused on the Clinical Nurse Specialist in adult-health nursing, with a minor in trauma nursing. Clinical interest also include experience in emergency care nursing, critical care nursing, and perioperative nursing. Is a co-coordinator of a perioprative nursing elective offered during spring terms at UAB-SON.
