Mapping a Personal Leadership Journey
On April 1 and 2, 2014, the Office of Professional Development presented a two-day workshop titled Mapping and Sustaining a Personal Leadership Journey. The interactive leadership development workshop held at the Carraway Davie House and Conference Center targeted early to mid-career nurse leaders and included didactic as well as facilitated group activities. Participants learned about their personal leadership strengths to create a leadership development plan with strategies for success.
The Office of Professional Development expands the reach of the school by promoting and leading high-quality, innovative educational programs that advance health and healthcare through the lifelong learning of nurse leaders and other health professionals.
This course prepares nurse practitioners, physicians (both MDs and DOs), physician assistants and doctors of chiropractic to sit for the certification test required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to become a Certified Medical Examiner.
The Office of Professional Development provides continuing education opportunities for faculty members as well as other healthcare professionals by means of face to face conferences, lectures, workshops and online educational programs.
