JukkalaCulturally Competent Alabama Clinical Nurse Leaders Program

This program serves to prepare Clinical Nurse Leaders through a distance accessible web-based culturally competent option within the UABSON Master’s program.  Clinical Nurse Leaders, well trained in developing action plans and implementing innovative cost-effective high quality interventions, will assume unit based positions in Alabama’s communities.  Significant effort will be devoted to recruiting trainees from minority or low-income/disadvantaged backgrounds with a goal of approximately 25%.  The program also strives to expand its local clinical partnerships to four outside institutions.
