Who is Required to Take This Course?
This training is required for anyone who handles, uses, and/or transports compressed gas cylinders.

You will receive credit for this course upon successful completion of the assessment. However, it only counts as partial training.

Supervisors, Managers, and Principal Investigators (PIs) are responsible for providing the hands-on, day-to-day training for their staff. This training must be documented (names, dates, and training content) and kept on file for audits.

Objectives
After completion of this course, participants must be able to:
  • Recognize the dangers associated with compressed gas cylinders by examining the labels on them and in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Identify the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to wear when working with different compressed gases
  • Receive, use, handle, transport, store, dispose of, and maintain compressed gas cylinders according to regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Design a plan to respond to a compressed gas emergency

A copy of the completed training certificate must be maintained on file and presented to the proper authorities upon request.

Once you pass the assessment for the course, you may go to the My Transcript tab and located the course link. Once you click on the link, you will see another link that brings up your certificate for the course. Choose File, Print to print it.
