Campus Ride & Escort

UAB Campus Ride is designed to provide convenient on-campus transportation to all UAB faculty and staff.  Our primary purpose is to offer a safe method of movement for those employees who must travel to various locations on campus for official university business.  This service is available to all employees or to any student employee currently holding an active work assignment.  In addition, up to one visitor or guest can be transported provided they are escorted by a UAB employee.

To use campus ride, just call 205-975-8294, tell the dispatcher your name, department account number (you will not be charged), where you are, and where you want to go.  It is that simple.  Your ride will get to you shortly!  The department uses white mini vans marked as "Employee Campus Ride".  We have a handicap accessible van as well for patrons who need the additional assistance.

Campus Escort is an on-demand shuttle service available to employees and students.  It is designed to pick you up at your location and take you to your destination.  If going to your vehicle, the driver will wait for you to start your car before leaving.  We will take you anywhere on campus, including areas that are not UAB parking facilities.  To use Campus Escort, just call 205-934-8772 after 5 p.m.

As with Campus Ride, the service uses marked white mini vans and has a handicap accessible vehicle.  After 10 p.m., the service is provided by UAB Police Security.
