POLICY STATEMENT
THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM
DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
Subject: Program Allocation Board (PAB General Policies)
- Allocation to the PAB support Programs will be for the purpose of educational opportunities and personal development of all students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
- The PAB will ensure that its allocation of funds will not be done in such a manner that a particular personal of political philosophy is advanced, supported, or prohibited.
- Legal mandates dictate that the PAB act in accordance with applicable provisions of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, its Board of Trustees, and the laws of the State of Alabama.
- In the event that student service fees are to purchase equipment, it becomes the property of UAB.
- The PAB will elect annually a secretary from the membership.
- The Chairperson of the PAB shall vote only in the case of a tie.
- Program planning is the sole function of the Program Committees. The PAB has no programming function.
- A complete evaluation of each funded program must be sent to the PAB within two weeks from the end of each term in which the program was presented.
