General Fiscal Policies
  1. A budget for the allocation and expenditure of the UAB-wide student funding is determined on an annual basis by the Program Allocation Board.
  2. The Assistant Vice President for Student Life has the authority to veto and/or reallocate proposed allocations of the PAB.
  3. The PAB funds only those programs and activities recommended by the PAB Program Committees.
  4. Allocations are made on a lump-sum basis to program committees rather than on an activity-by-activity basis.
  5. Funded programs must be open to all UAB students with a valid I.D. card.
  6. Expenditures of allocated funding should be consistent with the purpose and intent expressed in the budget request and subsequent allocation. This does not prevent funding committees from co-sponsoring events within their stated purpose throughout the year to best utilize funding.
