POLICY STATEMENT
THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM
DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS


Subject: Campus Mail System Policy for Students

  1. Recognized student organizations may utilize the UAB Campus Mail System for organizational business and to distribute notices or brochures publicizing UAB events, if authorized access to an appropriate UAB account number is obtained.
  2. Use of the Campus Mail System for commercial advertisements, chain letters, or for support of particular political candidates or parties is prohibited.  Student organizations may use the system to recruit members or to announce the appearance of an invited political candidate.
  3. Recognized student organizations must exercise the same procedures as a department when using the Campus Mail System.  (See “Policy Concerning Use of the UAB Campus Mail System”.)
