HR Compensation is committed to providing guidance in the design, development and maintenance of a competitive and cost effective pay plan throughout the institution. Compensation provides all business units with Salary Administration Guidelines that cover all employees of UAB (Hospital and University). Each business unit is responsible for the administration of the guidelines, ensuring salary equity within the department and initiating recommendations for salary adjustments.
The guidelines are not a binding agreement between the employee and UAB but are intended to assist departments when making decisions relative to salary.
