The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to study the role of epigenetic changes in the pathogenesis of repeat expansion diseases. We are searching for highly motivated scientists interested in the area of neurodegenerative diseases. Experience working with mouse models and mouse ES cell cultures, as well as in the design and generation of transgenic animals using genome editing is essential. Experience culturing human ES and iPS cells along with expertise in the area of chromatin biochemistry, particularly regarding transcriptional regulation and post-translational histone modifications, would be beneficial.

Experience in writing scientific publications and verbal presentation of data is required. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics or related discipline with experience documented by first author publications.  A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with years of experience and training.
