New CRM for enhanced advising

UAB academic advisors now have a Client Relationship Manager (CRM) system designed to provide one easily accessible interface for student information. The new CRM - accessible through BlazerNET - allows advisors to track students’ progress more effectively and identify at-risk students who need assistance. Advisors will no longer have to consult multiple sources and spreadsheets for information, allowing them more time for one-on-one interactions with students.

“This new CRM offers a convenient resource for advisors to meet the needs of individual students,” said Interim Provost Linda Lucas.  “I would like to thank everyone in the Office of the Provost, UAB IT, Web Communications, and all the academic advisors from various schools who worked to launch this system.”

The CRM is one of various technologies designed to promote student success that are being made available to UAB students, faculty, and staff in the 2011-2012 academic year.  More information and details about upcoming training sessions are available at https://www.uab.edu/students/plan-ahead .
