Dean, School of Public Health
Dr. Michael is a board-certified internist. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He was an intern and resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. From 1974 to 1976 he was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In 1986 he was a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow in Washington, D.C., serving on the Health Subcommittee of the Committee of Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Dr. Michael serves on a number of local boards, including Navigator, Media for Health, and Gateway.
