Volunteers needed to study circadian misalignment in shift-work nurses

Female  age 19 and older needed to examine the effects of circadian misalignment (CM) on the cognitive performance of shift-working nurses. Participants will be recruited from female, full-time UABH nursing staff who are working an established schedule of at least three consecutive night shifts followed by three consecutive days off. Participants will complete a 10-day protocol in which they will wear an Actiwatch to monitor circadian alignment, keep daily sleep-wake diaries and food diaries, and complete computerized testing to measure cognitive functioning and reaction time.
