UAB walking trail extends indoors to Children's campus

ChildrensTrailLogoThe UAB Medicine Trail, part of the revamped campus walking trail system, now extends to Children’s of Alabama. The extension officially opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 23.

“As a health care organization, which is very committed to employee health and well-being, we are very excited about the UAB and Children’s walking trail for employees of both organizations,” said Doug Dean, chief human resource officer for Children’s.

“This is a beautiful example of organizations partnering for the greater community good, and the visibility of both staff and guests in our hospitals seeing others commit to walking has a viral effect in recruiting others to the health and wellness journey.”
