Blazer Bowling league starts new season with kick-off party

bowlingThe league, which raises money for the UAB Faculty and Staff Benevolent Fund, is recruiting new teams for its winter bowling season, and you don't have to be an experienced bowler to join.

Teams consist of four people, and the league bowls for 14 weeks. Winter bowling starts Jan. 14 with a meeting at 6 p.m., practice at 6:20 p.m. and bowling for score at 6:30 p.m. Games are played at Brunswick Zone, next to Target on Highway 280. More info is online.

Blazer Bowling League costs $15 per person per week, and offers these benefits:
  • Three games of bowling each week
  • Free shoe rental on League Day
  • 21 free practice games per week (Three per day)
  • Brunswick league bowler perks $1 per person per week donated to charity
  • Cash prizes at the end of the season
