Blazer Bowling League looking for new teams

bowling shoes sizedThe league, which raises money for the UAB Faculty and Staff Benevolent Fund, is recruiting new teams for its winter bowling season, and you don't have to be an experienced bowler to join. 

Teams consist of four people, and the league bowls for 14 weeks. A kick-off party will be held 6:30-9 p.m. Jan. 7. Winter bowling starts Jan. 14 with a meeting at 6 p.m., practice at 6:20 p.m. and bowling for score at 6:30 p.m. Games are played at Brunswick Zone, next to Target on Highway 280. 

Blazer Bowling League costs $15 per person per week, and offers these benefits:
  • Three games of bowling each week
  • Free shoe rental on League Day
  • 21 free practice games per week (Three per day)
  • Brunswick league bowler perks
  • $1 per person per week donated to charity
  • Cash prizes at the end of the season
