UAB Nursing Professor Anne Turner-Henson, DSN, received the prestigious Leadership in Research Award from the Southern Nursing Research Society for outstanding leadership, contribution to society and promotion of nursing and health-care research.
Henson leads UAB’s Leadership Education in Child Health Nursing Program. Its focus is to build capacity and leadership in child-health nursing — an area in which the United States is facing a critical shortage.
