The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees named Jay Goldman, D.Sc., professor emeritus in the School of Engineering during its meeting June 14, 2013.
Goldman joined UAB in 1984 as dean and professor and was appointed Distinguished Service Professor of Engineering and recognized as dean emeritus in 2001. In 2004 he received the Medallion Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers for his impact on the industrial engineering profession.
