If you have an employment status in Oracle or an established XIAS account, or are a UAB student you can log into the online training system with your BlazerID or XIAS ID, and password. You can use the "Transcript" tab to view your training history. You can use the "Catalog" tab to search for and take training courses.

To enroll in an IACUC training course in the Learning System:

  1. Under the "Catalog" tab enter IACUC as the search term and click "Search". This will bring up the list of all available IACUC training courses.
  2. Click on the course title and then click on "Enroll in this course".
  3. The course will automatically open. You can access any training courses for which you are enrolled under the "My Learning" tab.

Completing IACUC training courses in the Learning System:

Training courses can have 3 components: 2 ways to view the course (pdf or flash)* and assessments (quizzes).

*PDFs and flash files conatin the same information in different formats.

All Assessments must be passed with a score of 80% in order to complete a course. On occasion if the system is not working correctly, the IACUC may request a copy of your training certificate as proof of training. Certificates should display when you complete the course or can be accessed from your transcript. If you have taken multiple courses you may print or "print screen" a copy of your transcript for proof of training.
