Western IRB (WIRB) is changing its online submission system from WIRBNet to Connexus, effective November 21, 2013. As a result of this change, the process for UAB's WIRB submissions will also be changed. This change will streamline efforts and provide access to submissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you do not already have a WIRB Connexus account, please request one immediately (https://connexus.wirb.com/). Anyone who needs access to the submission documents must have a WIRB Connexus account.

2. A member of the OIRB staff reviews and verifies the submission materials, and then forwards the signed cover letter (along with any required attachments) to the PI and the PI's contact.
3. The PI or PI's contact uploads their documents via WIRB Connexus, including the signed Institution Review Form.
The UAB OIRB is notified when WIRB receives the submission.
