Should I complete UAB IRB training?​
UAB personnel and students should complete any one (1) of the options listed below to fulfill the 4-credit requirement for initial IRB training. Click the course names for descriptions and instructions.
- CITI Online: CITI Basic-Biomedical or Behavioral-Course in Human Research Protections, University of Miami
- UAB Course: GRD 717: Principles of Scientific Integrity
- Research Training Program (offered twice a year by UAB)​​
- For New UAB Researchers: Human Subjects Protection Training, from your previous institution
Non-UAB research personnel who are covered by the UAB IRB through an Individual Investigator Agreement (IIA) should complete the Community Based Participatory Research course. This course does not satisfy any training requirement for UAB personnel and students.
