Fall Service Learning Expo
Students in fall service-learning courses will showcase their summer and fall projects in this new exposition of UAB student and community engagement collaborations. The Office of Service Learning and the School of Nursing are sponsoring a Fall Service Learning Expo on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10:00 a.m.-12 p.m. at the UAB Campus Recreation Center. The purpose of this event is to not only give students presentation experience but also to showcase and celebrate the community partners and projects in summer and fall service learning courses at UAB.
Similar to the Spring and Summer Student Expos, students will present projects via poster presentations either as individuals or in groups. Students will make brief presentations about their work to judges from UAB and the community, and prizes will be awarded to the top three projects and to the project deemed the most innovative.
Parking is available in the 9th Avenue Parking Deck (1602 9th Avenue South) on 16th Street between University Avenue and 9th Avenue. Bring your ticket with you, and it can be stamped at the event.
