Most of what you can see of the construction to the School of Health Professions Building has been the outside going up. Here's a sneak peek of what it looks like from the inside. For those of you who have been in the SHP Building, you know there is only one elevator. The good news is that crews are in the process of installing a second one as you can see the shaft to the right here.
Another unique feature to the addition will be a grand staircase leading from the 5th to the 6th floor. The staircase shown to the left will lead to the Executive Learning Center which will hold nearly 100 students and allow space for executive classes as well as seminars and speakers. A large window by the staircase will not only give a great view of campus, but allow a lot of natural light that is desperately needed in the building.
Framing on classrooms and offices are beginning to take shape. Construction is now 40 percent complete with a move-in date still expected in summer 2013.
