Nuclear Medicine Technology, B.S.
In recognizing the workforce demand for people highly trained in the field of nuclear medicine, the NMT program will transition from a baccalaureate program to a master program in 2015. Enrollment continues so students interested in NMT as a career are encouraged to enroll now and transition upward with the program in this rising field.
A nuclear medicine technologist uses radioactive drugs to obtain
information that will lead to disease diagnosis and monitoring therapy.
Nuclear Medicine Technology Mission
The goals of the NMT Program are to:
- provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to secure employment as an entry-level nuclear medicine technologist;
- provide students with the knowledge necessary to pass national certification examinations in nuclear medicine technology;
- provide health care employers with competent graduates; and
- offer educational activities and materials to the health care community.
