If you’re looking for a job that will be hot in the next few years and beyond, look no further than Genetic Counseling. It’s being listed as one of the Top 10 jobs of the future. With doctors able to run tests that will predict genetic conditions, genetic counselors will be needed to help educate families about their options and risk assessments.
The UAB Genetic Counseling program in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences will be holding an information session on Monday, November 5 from noon-1 p.m. in the School of Health Professions Building Room 226. Prospective students will learn more about the genetic counseling profession, the program and hints for submitting a successful program application.
