UAB Occupational Therapy assistant professor Beth Barstow, MS, OTR/L, SCLV, won the Cordelia Myers Writers Award from the American Occupational Therapy Association for her article, “Do Home Safety Assessments Address the Concerns of Clients with Vision Loss?” The article was published in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy in November. The award is given to first time authors of a feature article.Deborah Bennett, an occupational therapy post-professional graduate of the UAB program, conducted the study and was the second author. OT professor Laura K. Vogtle, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, was a third author.
