Congratulations Certificate Graduates!
Sunday, December 6, 2015, we graduated our 5th UAB Graduate Certificate cohort from the Healthcare Quality and Safety programs. The program, which originally began in the UAB Health System and is known on campus as the UAB Medicine Quality Academy, saw 26 people receive their certificates.
“This is truly a special group as they have not only recognized the need for better health care but they have taken the initiative to educate themselves and improve the care they deliver,” said Deirdre McCaughey, director, UAB Healthcare Quality and Safety programs.
Since inception in 2013, 130 people have earned the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Safety. This is the #1 graduate certificate earned at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, making up 1 of every 3 certificates delivered.
The private graduation ceremony was held at the UAB School of Health Professions Executive Learning Center.
