Totally online. 36 hours in only 3 semesters. All HQS Certificate hours apply toward earning your Master's.

HQS programs are high quality, academically rigorous forums for developing your individual knowledge and skills you need to conduct clinical practice and non-clinical process improvement projects in a complex medical environment.
The Healthcare Quality and Safety Programs, housed in the Department of Health Services Administration in the School of Health Professions, require a combined approach using data and models from the natural, social, technological, behavioral and life sciences, and other specialized fields.
The curriculum is delivered by an interdisciplinary team of faculty from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Schools of Health Professions, Nursing, Public Health and Medicine.
All courses are taught in multiple terms to allow you program admission in any term. You may enroll in one or multiple courses in a given term. The courses are not interdependent.
