Annual National Symposium for Healthcare Executives - Overview
The National Symposium for Healthcare Executives is an annual conference presented by the UAB Center for Health Services Continuing Education. The goals of the Symposium are to provide healthcare executives the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and earn continuing education credit.
The Symposium has more than 30 years of experience providing an ideal learning environment for healthcare leaders. During our sessions everyone has the opportunity to interact with health care executives, health professionals, decision makers, today’s leaders and the leaders of tomorrow. More than 4,000 individuals from 38 states and several foreign countries have attended one or more of our annual Symposia.
Over 300 of your colleagues have returned for seven or more years and some have come for twenty years or more, which we take as the most positive testament to the quality of the programs and the experience.
Typically, nearly half of the participants hold titles of CEO, COO, CNO, CIO, CFO or other roles in the organization’s senior leadership team. Another third are practicing physicians, consultants, attorneys and other health professionals. The remainder consists of early to mid career managers in healthcare administration positions.
Year after year, the Symposium continues to demonstrate high levels of participant satisfaction and set new standards for involvement. The 2014 Symposium at Sandestin will continue our standard of excellence with an outstanding set of speakers, exceptional topics and a magnificent setting.
