Amy S. Leopard is a partner in the Nashville office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and advises a diverse array of clients in healthcare and technology industries on business transactions, regulatory compliance and complex licensing, payment, privacy and health and information technology matters. The Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Health Care team comprises over 50 attorneys who counsel clients on a comprehensive range of matters including compliance, operational issues, regulatory oversight, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and syndications, labor and employment matters, clinical research issues, litigation, and tax and real estate work.
Ms. Leopard represents hospitals and health systems, large physician organizations, and national healthcare companies, ACOs, and technology companies on clinical integration, electronic health records, health information exchange, genomic data, HITECH, and fraud and abuse laws. She graduated in Class 17 from the UAB Graduate Program in Health Administration and spent 10 years in hospitals as vice president in both academic medical center and community hospital settings. She obtained her law degree from Case Western Reserve Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of "Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine" and later taught healthcare finance and transactions as an Adjunct Professor. Ms. Leopard completed an internship in the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division.
Ms. Leopard has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America for Healthcare each year since 2006 and received the Presidential Citation Award from the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio for outstanding legal service and expertise on health care and information technology law in 2011.
