| Genetic Counseling student receives Mayo Clinic internship |

The two-week internship will include experience in cytogenetics, molecular genetics and biochemical genetics with a primary experience in one of these areas. Students will work directly with genetic counselors employed in a genetic laboratory. Within each laboratory, board-certified directors and genetic counselors work closely with health care providers and laboratory staff to ensure that accurate, reliable and timely results are available to patients. After completing the internship, Beek will receive a Certificate of Completion from Mayo School of Health Sciences, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. |
