Fangjian Guo is from China, and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree in Wuhan University in 2009. Then, he conducted a 2-year postdoctoral training in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and then University of Utah. He is currently a Ph.D. student with Dr. Garvey in Nutrition Sciences at University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research interest is mainly in the areas of cardiometabolic disease, including pathophysiology, metabolomics, biomarker development, epidemiology, and statistics. In his spare time, he loves traveling. 'Those National Parks in the United States are marvelous', he says.
