Dr. Williams is an Assistant professor in the Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine in the UAB School of Medicine. Dr. Williams currently works as a Health Science Specialist in the Research Service, at the Birmingham VA Medical Center.  She is co-investigator and project coordinator on “Intervention to Improve Care at Life’s End in VA Medical Centers,” a 5-year VA Health Services Research and Development Merit Award (Burgio).  She also serves as an investigator in the Birmingham/Atlanta VA Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC).
