The University of
Alabama School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham
(UAB) invites applications and nominations for the positions of
Associate Dean for Research and Scholarly Affairs, the Rachel Z. Booth
Endowed Chair in Nursing, and full/part-time nursing faculty positions
in the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs.
Qualified applicants
for the Associate Dean and Chair positions will hold a doctorate in
nursing or a health related field and have significant experience in
scholarship including: pre- and post-doctoral education and research,
progressive leadership responsibility, productivity in extramural
funding and publication in top-tiered health related journals.
Applicants
should qualify for tenure with appointment at the rank of Professor.
Candidates for the
nursing faculty positions with expertise in Adult Health and
Care-giving, Psychiatric/Mental Health, Acute or Critical Care,
Maternal-Child, Pediatrics, Family Health, or Research Design and
Methodology/Statistics are encouraged to apply. Faculty may elect
different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship
components of the faculty role. Rank, tenure, and salary are
competitive and commensurate with professional background and
experience.
The University of Alabama School of
