Veterans Services is offering a new token for their graduates this coming December in the form of a Challenge Coin. These  coins are meant to reward those Veterans who graduate from UAB with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. Director of Veterans Services Walter Stewart said, "We wanted to find a way to let our veterans know that we care about them and their success in the classroom as well as in life after college. This coin will serve as a reminder of that." When veterans graduate they already receive red, white and blue cords and this is another way to congratulate their hardwork during their tenure at UAB.
