Winter weather delays classes on first day of semester

But this is what it looked like last winter after a brief snowfall.UAB classes and normal campus operations will be suspended until 10 a.m. Monday, January 6 due to the risk of severe weather and dangerous travel conditions. The Commons on the Green will operate on its usual schedule Monday, serving breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. As for other UAB Campus Restaurants: Simply to Go in Campbell and Volker Halls, ZeBi in the BEC and Starbucks in Sterne Library will each open at 10 a.m. Monday. WOW, the C-Store and The Diner will open at their usual times later in the day.

The Campus Recreation Center will operate per posted hours, though staffing may be limited to students who live on campus.
