UAB students can apply for a new funding opportunity for projects related to sustainability on campus!
The fund has been established within the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Student Experience. Applications will be made to the UAB Sustainability Investment Fund Board, composed of members of representatives from the Undergraduate Student Government Association and the Graduate Student Association, professional school representatives, at-large student representatives, faculty representatives, as well as the UAB Recycling Coordinator and the Director of UAB Energy Management. The Board is chaired by the Director of Student Engagement and the Coordinator of Sustainability.
The goal of the program is to provide grants for endeavors that improve UAB's sustainability and efficiency and decrease the university's ecological footprint, while providing leadership opportunities for students to initiate and implement sustainability programs on campus.
Applications are due Friday, November 6, 2015 and the winners will be announced Friday, December 4, 2015. Your application must include a proposal and budget.
