Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined, co-directed by ASFA's Jonathan Fuller and Theatre UAB Assistant Professor Cheryl Hall, runs through March 16th at the Virginia Samford Theatre. Among the stars of this production are Theatre Department majors Markeitra Gilliam and Byron King, and Department alumnus Benoît Johnson. The intense drama is set in a small mining town in Democratic Republic of Congo and confronts essential questions of human dignity and the cost of human survival.
