Laura Debiasi has been a WHOCC Scholar since 2012. As a newly appointed WHO Scholar, she serves as Chair of a task force that is working to improve and increase the emphasis on global health at UAB School of Nursing.

Ms. Debiasi is involved with the International Nursing and Health Care Leadership and Management Program both as a host family and by working with the various students from around the world who would enroll in this summer course.
Her continuing interest in global work revolves around providing opportunities for global health involvement for current students at the School of Nursing. She also offers a summer Study Away in Ecuador elective for students.
