Dr. Shannon Houser has been appointed an advisor for the Project HOPE China Program. Project HOPE is a U.S.-based, philanthropic health-care organization that provides health education, medical supplies and volunteer help around the world. Houser will provide technical advice and assistance for a number of programs, including the China Rehabilitation Program, Nutrition Center of Excellence Program and Advanced Health Professional Training Program. While based at UAB, she will work with the organization's Program Monitoring and Evaluation Offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
