The Medical Education Committee (MEC) has primary responsibility for course and clerkship oversight, monitors program implementation, and assists in program evaluation. In addition, the MEC serves as an information clearing house by which the UASOM faculty, students, and administration are informed about curricular and educational activities at all three campuses and elsewhere. The MEC is charged with overseeing the functioning of its:

  • Subcommittees

    • Integrated Medical Sciences

    • Assessment

    • Student Affairs

  • Ad-hoc task forces, and

  • Activities concerned with the undergraduate medical education curriculum and the components thereof.
