Why present or publish?
There are many reasons to present and/or publish your research:
- It helps prepare you for future research at the graduate level or in a professional career.
- It demonstrates a serious commitment to advancing your field.
- It enables you to not only hone writing and public speaking skills, but opens you up to a network of potential colleagues.
- It is one of the best opportunities to be recognized for your work and to share ideas and findings with others.
Undergraduate research journals and conferences provide excellent opportunities to distribute the results of your research. Make sure you take advantage of the opportunities!
