October 9th, 2014 - Erick Woullard and Andria Diamond
USGA’s Programs Co-Coordinators, Junior Nursing student Andria Diamond and Sophomore Finance and Accounting student Erick Woullard, are opening the fall season with their largest program of the semester: Halloween on the Green. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 6 to 9 pm on the Campus Green and will feature free food, inflatables, a haunted tunnel, a corn hole game, a costume contest, and a “zombiefying” booth.
With its introduction in 2012, Halloween on the Green is being put on by USGA for only the second year, but the Programs Coordinators hope it will become an annual event.
“I really hope Halloween on the Green becomes a UAB tradition. I want to throw the biggest fall festival students have ever seen. And I want it to be so big that people look forward to it for next year,” Diamond said.
“We're here to provide students with a great experience to have fun and hopefully meet new people. I hope that this is something that we can keep going a long time after we've left UAB and that students will participate in every year,” Woullard added.
Although the event is largely sponsored by USGA, a number of other student organizations representing UAB will be present.
“The main focus is for USGA to partner with other student organizations for a mutually beneficially event that is fun for all students,” Diamond said.
