Navigating This Site

The sections of the site are labeled at the top of every page, so you will always have the option of clicking a menu item to navigate to a particular section. Additionally the Options Menu located in the top right of your screen will provide additional menu options and features based on your current page location and permission level. Below you will find detailed information about navigating this site. Please read this information carefully and be sure to review the Technical Requirements section to make sure you meet all requirements. A legend of commonly used icons and a site map linking to all available sections are also provided below.

Compliance Report

This section of the site provides access to the Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements as required by the Commission on Colleges. In the compliance report section, each requirement has its own page.

Requirements are organized with the requirement title and description at the top of the page, followed by the judgment and narrative. The narrative section of the site will contain information in support of the institution’s compliance with the specified requirement. As such, this section may contain tables and images, as well as links to supporting Web sites and documents.

Source documents are provided at the bottom of the page directly following the narrative and can be in the form of PDFs or Web site links. Clicking on a source will bring up the document or link in a new browser window. After you are finished viewing a particular source, you may close the window to return to the original requirement page. Some requirements may have special supporting documents broken up into folders and sub-folders. These will display in a graphical folder structure so you will be able to click on the plus sign (+) next to a folder to view any documents or sub-folders inside of it. If you are viewing this page on a CD, Internet Explorer may block the script from running, so you can just right click on the top warning bar to allow the script to run.

In the top right and left corner of each requirement page, you will find links to move directly to the next and previous requirements respectively. Use these links to move through the requirements or return to the Compliance Report page to view a listing of all requirements.

Focused Report

The focused report section "addresses the findings of the Off-Site Review Committee by providing updated and additional documentation regarding the institution's determination of its compliance" with selected Core Requirements and Comprehensive Standards. This section functions exactly like the compliance report section listed above, but it will only list requirements for which a focused report is required.


The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is completed approximately 4-6 months prior to the on-site review by the Commission on Colleges. This section describes a course of action for institutional improvement critical to the enhancement of educational quality. This section may include various charts, graphs, or tables. Specific instructions with regards to the navigation and use of the QEP section will be provided within the QEP section.

Document Directory

This page provides a link to PDF documents that serve as sources and are applicable to multiple requirements. These documents are generally larger in size (i.e. handbooks or catalogs) and therefore provided in the Document Directory as an additional reference.
