English Professor Cassandra Ellis and her students will discuss feeding elderly patients at UAB Highlands as the basis for their course writings on age and memory in her English 101 course. Dr. Ellis will also discuss an exciting new partnership with the Environmental Services area of the Jefferson County Department of Health for spring 2013.
Heather Lee of the Sparkman Center for Global Health will highlight her plans for expanding Food Security: Local, National and Global Issues for fall 2013 as part of the new undergraduate public health major. Her students will also discuss how their service learning experiences intensified their course learning.
