The 2013 UAB/Future Teachers of America Conference will be held 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 8. The day will consist of sessions designed to help FTA members learn more about the education field, SAEA, and college life. The day will culminate with a tour of UAB and words from the Dean of the School of Education and department chairs. See below for session overviews.

Find out about university and ALSDE requirements for completing a degree in education and obtaining teacher certification.

Let’s Get Started (EDU 100-A Good Start)
Start your 1st year at UAB right by taking EDU 100 as an elective. It is a fun and informative way of finding out more about the education field.

Getting Down to Business
Students will learn about parliamentary procedures necessary to conduct effective/productive meetings.
