Hand in Paw Petscription for the Classroom

Hand in Paw's Petscription for the Classroom Program gives educators powerful tools- specially-trained handler and animal Therapy Teams who motivate students in need. Therapy animals change the atmosphere of a classroom and the culture of a school. They promote focus, improve speech, language learning and cognition; decrease anxiety, foster compassion, encourage physical activity, strengthen social skills, lower truancy, and deliver comfort. Through lesson plans centered around therapy animals, measurable strides are made. We aim to serve 300 additional students in the first year by adding six school partners, where the need is greatest. We need your help to create brighter futures.
