UAB Project Management Certificate Courses

As a Project Management Institute Authorized Training Partner, our instructor-led training is delivered with PMI-developed content to ensure it’s up to PMI’s highest quality and standards and you are learning from a PMI-vetted instructor.

Recognizing the need for those managing projects to be trained and certified in the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), the UAB Collat School of Business and the Project Management Institute (PMI) have teamed together to offer innovative, engaging, short-term Project Management Certificate Courses with live, online instruction.

The UAB Project Management Certificate Courses' approach provides the content and rigor of graduate level academic coursework and practicality provided by practicing project managers; yet, as a professional course, there is no application fee or admission process

These popular open-enrollment courses are offered several times a year through the UAB Collat School of Business Professional Education Office. Join us and learn from PMI-trained, seasoned instructors; enjoy networking with a cohort of like-minded professionals; and prepare to earn industry certifications like the CAPM and PMP!

Scholarships

We are excited to announce women in Alabama and Michigan working in computing or interested in pursuing a computing or technology career may be eligible for full scholarships (100% paid) for one or more of our following courses: Project Management Foundations, Project Management Certificate Bundle or Agile Project Management. This is a competitive scholarship through the National Center for Women & Information Technology aimed at increasing the technical workforce in the Birmingham Alabama region and Detroit, Michigan.

Academic Credit

Individuals with a PMI certification will be able to waive a graduate level elective (3 credit hours) in UAB's MBA program.

UAB Project Management Courses

Project Management Foundational Course

LIVE online instruction that totals 36 contact hours and meets the education requirement to sit for the CAPM and PMP exams. This is a four-day course that meets once a week and offered multiple times during the year. Most course offerings occur over four consecutive Fridays. 

9:00am - 12:30pm.

New LIVE online instruction and access to over 200 test questions. A one-day course offered multiple times a year.

Detailed instruction into integrating Microsoft Project software into your daily project management design. A one-day course offered multiple times a year.
