Collat School of Business Dean Eric Jack, PhD, has been elected to the Beta Alpha Psi national Board of Directors. Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals.
More than 300,000 members in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand have been inducted into the organization since its inception in 1919. The organization encourages and recognizes scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.
Collat alumnus Jay Knight also sits on the 18-member board as an alumni representative.
Jack will serve as the dean representative on the board, replacing outgoing board member Moez Limayem, dean of the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida.
UAB's Beta Alpha Psi chapter, one of 300 worldwide, was recently granted
Superior Status for its academic and public service work. The chapter was awarded "Most Improved Chapter" in 2012 after rigorous improvements in activity and recruitment.
