Excellence in Business logoThe UAB National Alumni Society has recognized the UAB Excellence in Business Top 25 Class of 2020, honoring 11 Collat alumni.

The program, now in its 8th year, recognizes and celebrates UAB’s top alumni-owned or alumni-managed businesses.

This year, the National Alumni Society again partnered with accounting and consulting firm Warren Averett to determine the winners through a revenue verification process.

The award recipients were honored during a virtual ceremony on Thursday, June 25 at 6pm. Coca-Cola Bottling Company Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Hafiz Chandiwala delivered the opening remarks. Chandiwala is an alumnus of the Collat School of Business and serves as president of the National Alumni Society.

Special recognition was also given to the top three fastest growing businesses with revenue totaling less than $10 million and top three with revenues greater than $10 million.

  • DeepMap, Inc., 171% cumulative growth

Revenues more than $10 million:

  • Redwood Logistics, 612% cumulative growth
  • Minteai Information Company, Inc., 89% cumulative growth
  • American Physician Partners, 72% cumulative growth
